Buck McAlpin has worked in Government Affairs for over 20 years. In 2004, Buck founded McAlpin Consulting LLC, to provide consulting and active lobbying services to corporate, trade association and non-profit clients, which provides primarily health care consulting. Buck also owns and operates Transmedic Medical Billing services with his wife Cindy serving Ambulance Services.

Mary Krinkie is the vice president of government relations at the Minnesota Hospital Association. For the past 16 years, Mary has led MHA’s policy and advocacy efforts. She is a frequent presenter at MHA trustee education programs. Formerly, Mary worked as a lobbyist with the law firm of Lockridge, Grindal and Nauen. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, graduating with Honors with a degree in Economics and Political Science.

Sam Smith became NAMI Minnesota's public policy coordinator in the winter of 2017. In this role, he advocates at the state level for the policies that will benefit people living with a mental illness and their families. Before working with NAMI, Sam graduated from Bowdoin College with an English Degree, taught English, and worked in politics as a field organizer and as the research and tracking director for a state political party.

Kristi Kane is the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging (AAAA) Director. Prior to her role at AAAA, Kristi served 6 ½ years as the Executive Director of ElderCircle in Grand Rapids, MN. She has a BA Degree from St Cloud State University, has served on many local and state boards, and is currently serving on the LeadingAge MN Board of Directors.
